The Postmaster

An international writing centre exchange project between Little Green Pig, Brighton and Story Factory, Sydney and NSW

In Spring 2026, young writers in both Brighton, UK and Sydney, Australia received a mysterious parcel in the post…Inside they found a variety of local artefacts, clues, tasty snacks and tasks from a curious character known as “The Postmaster”! On watching video messages from The Postmaster, the young writers learnt that completing a series of tasks would help them to connect with creative counterparts across the globe…

club writers to StoryFactory

Children from both clubs shared about their lives, likes, local tips and more via letters, profiles, films, paper “fortune tellers”, and other creative writing tasks. Here are some of the completed tasks from across our three Brighton and Hove writing clubs in Moulsecoomb, Portslade and Whitehawk. A peek at what we exchanged with Australian young writers and sent in parcels to the Story Factory clubs across the seas.
