Winter Shadows

A collection of seasonal poetry and illustrations by Little Green Pig’s Eastbourne After School Club writers, aged seven to eleven. Over several weeks, children explored the theme of winter through a series of prompts, delving into mood, metaphor and rich descriptive language to capture the sights, sounds, tastes and textures of the season. To accompany their poems, children used shadow puppetry techniques to create illustrations which reflect the crisp white landscapes and cosy shadows of midwinter, bringing the world of their poems to life.
