Amplified is a platform for young creatives, aged 13 to 18, to express themselves through spoken word, poetry, music and performance. Sharing their own stories on stage, saying what they want to say and how they want to say it. Listen to what this year's group of Amplified creatives have to say on stage, each taking their turn on the mic for up to 5 minutes. Hosted by Young Writers Collective (Little Green Pig) and AudioActive, Amplified performers have been preparing to take to the stage in workshops over the past 5 weeks, with mentoring and leadership from Cate Ferris, Roy McFarlane, Suhayla El-Bushra and others. Amplified is supported using public funding by Arts Council England.

Hosted by poet and writer Roy McFarlane , the eight performers will be Dakksh, Louie, Jago, Gabelle, Rosalie, Savannah, Riri and Zara.

Join us to celebrate the performers' journeys from a blank page to live on stage. Be part of the audience who gets to hear these stories debuted. A free event and everyone is welcome* for what is sure to be a dynamic and powerful show.

There will be a British Sign Language interpreter throughout the event. The event takes place in the auditorium of The Birley Centre in Eastbourne (5 mins from Eastbourne train station). There is a ramp up to the entrance and a lift from the ground floor for access to the auditorium for those who require it. There are wheelchair accessible toilets and gender neutral toilets available at the venue.

*Recommended for ages 11+ due to the content and topics of some of the stories.
