Immortal Magic
A collective of stories about stones, poetry about pebbles and gemstone journeys created by Imagination Station young writers based in Portslade, Brighton.
What are the origins of the gemstone gleaming in a ring? The crystals sparkling in a necklace? The craggy pebbles on the beach? The cliffs and fossils along our coast? Over six weeks in Spring 2026, the children of Imagination Station have explored the symbolism, importance and history of the rich array of the earth’s minerals. From identifying lapis lazuli, to holding amethyst to the light, obsidian beneath a magnifying glass, the children’s creativity has soared in this collection of poems and stories. Introduction and project created by Workshop Leader Laura Wilkinson. Cover design thanks to Finlay Heanue.
