Poetry and spoken word by young people, for young people. What do you get up to during your lunch break at school? For the past two years, a group of talented students at Longhill High School in Brighton have been writing poetry and spoken word at a lunchtime club. Here's a sneak peek into some of the words they've crafted and why they choose to be part of Young Writers Collective. Featuring poetry and interviews with these 11 to 16 year old writers, including hearing from the workshop leader poet Roy McFarlane. Powerful poems about friendship, football, freedom to express yourself and more! This is the collective's first podcast.

Hosted by members of the collective Henry and Eden.

Funded thanks to The Vakil Foundation.

Edited and produced by Little Green Pig team Chris Callard and Sally Woodcock.
