Please join us at Brighton’s very first space and training academy, BrightSTAR: an imaginary learning space created in two empty classrooms at Moulsecoomb Primary School.Little Green Pig have spent a term in situ at the school, working with the teachers and every child from nursery to Year 6 to give them an immersive creative learning experience to stimulate their imagination and encourage and inspire new writing.
We will be sharing our learning and successes, and hearing from various partners involved in the project. We’ll discuss the effect and impact on children, access to arts and working in areas of high deprivation, and the best ways to work in collaboration with teachers and schools.
Open to all educators, teachers, artists, head teachers, arts organisations, and anyone working with children and young people across the south east. Please join us, Little Green Pig, and Our Future City for a stimulating afternoon and a chance to network and share questions and practice. Get ready to blast into space!

Join us at Brighton’s Nightingale Room for a celebration of childhood reading and children’s books.
Writer and journalist Lucy Mangan, whose latest book Bookworm: A Memoir of Childhood Reading is a joyous journey through the reading that shaped her, will be in conversation with Little Green Pig patron, the writer and translator Daniel Hahn.
Please come armed with questions for Lucy and Daniel and do hang around afterwards for a chat with them and a drink in the bar.
All proceeds from ticket sales will go towards Little Green Pig’s programme of creative writing projects for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in Brighton & Hove and Sussex.
