Little Green Pig turbo charge the online programme with our mini- masterclass series

Since early April, Little Green Pig has developed an engaging online programme, fulfilling our mission of inspiring young minds through creative writing, during the strange and curious time of lockdown.  Our regular after school clubs are being well attended in virtual classrooms whilst a whole new kit bag of resources have been created to keep young minds active and enquiring.

Still from ‘How to draw your Everyday Hero’ by author, illustrator and LGP patron Nick Sharratt

Last week we posted the first in our series of mini masterclasses; ‘How to draw your Everyday Hero’ by author, illustrator and LGP patron Nick Sharratt, on our Youtube channel which even earned us a mention in The Argus!  This week we are hugely excited to present ‘Five Tips on Writing Dialogue’ from our Chair and esteemed scriptwriter (Eastenders, Casualty), Pete Lawson.  Pete guides you through techniques for creating a character’s own unique voice and relating dialogue to the surroundings or situations they find themselves in.

Don’t forget to send your writing and drawings to [email protected]

Look out for our next masterclass presented by writer and journalist, Araminta Hall.

We would also like to say an enormous thank you to our trustee Lauren Welch, who with the support of her partner Sam, undertook the epic 2.6 challenge, cycling for 26 hours non-stop on their exercise bike and raising the phenomenal sum of £2,805 to help us through these challenging times.  Thank you Lauren and Sam!!!
