Actors needed for new crime play!

Crime writer William Shaw meeting our Tuesday Club

Would you like to be in a new play in Brighton Fringe this May?

We’re looking for five actors to perform in a crime drama written by young people from our LGP writing club at Portslade Aldridge Academy (PACA) together with crime writer William Shaw and theatre writer Pete Lawson.

You’ll need to be available on 2nd May and/or 9th May from 3.30 pm – 5 pm for a rehearsed reading with the young writers, and on Tuesday 16th May in the afternoon and evening to perform at the Sallis Benney theatre. The performance will be a dramatized reading, so there will be no need to learn lines.

We’re looking for the following roles:

  1. Susan – female, late 60s
  2. Graham – male, early 80s
  3. Adam – male, late 30s, Spanish accent
  4. Yozzy – male, late 20s, Scottish accent
  5. Jo – female, late 20s

We can offer each actor £50 for taking part to cover expenses. You’ll also get the chance to meet some of Brighton’s talented young writers, perform in the Brighton Fringe and be featured in local media.
